Job Description
The position available at Focused Care at Summer Place is for a Housekeeper who will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the community. This role involves performing a variety of housekeeping tasks including mopping, sweeping, dusting, washing windows, vacuuming carpets, and arranging furniture. The housekeeper is also responsible for cleaning furniture, equipment, fixtures, and hardware to ensure all resident areas and communal spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Availability to work assigned schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and protocols
- Effective communication skills in English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing excellent care and support to residents
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents, families, guests, and other associates in English
- Ability to work safely with cleaning chemicals and be exposed to chemical fumes, dust, and pet dander
- Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize residences and contents including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning kitchen and bath fixtures, turning mattresses, moving light furniture, emptying trash receptacles
- Other cleaning duties for resident apartments, offices, bathrooms, and other common areas in the community
- Assist with cleaning and refurbishing of vacated residences as they become vacant
- Wash, dry, fold, and store linens and other laundry of the community and residents
- Coordinate delivery and return of resident laundry
- Keep housekeeping carts clean and organized
- Keep carts stocked with appropriate cleaning supplies in OSHA-approved containers
- Perform all other duties as assigned
