Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior housekeeping experience preferred
  • must have valid driver's license
  • ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 45 lbs independently and over 45 lbs with assistance
  • ability to work part-time
  • ability to work independently and responsibly
  • ability to follow safety procedures and use safety equipment
  • must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • ability to pass a background check and National Agency Check and Inquiries
  • must register with Selective Service if applicable
  • compliance with drug-free workplace policies

Job Qualifications

  • must be able to work independently
  • knowledge of inventory and restocking supplies and amenities
  • adept in proper cleaning techniques of various furniture and furnishings
  • able to use common cleaning tools, cleaning agents and industrial vacuum, carpet cleaners and buffers
  • able to identify and report maintenance problems
  • able to make independent decisions regarding property and supplies
  • able to read signs and follow written and oral instructions
  • knowledgeable in fire, safety and security requirements

Job Duties

  • perform housekeeping and custodial duties in assigned locations
  • clean guest rooms including making beds, changing linen, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and emptying trash cans
  • clean guest room bathrooms including toilets, showers, tubs, wash basins, mirrors and walls
  • wax and polish hardwood furniture and shampoo upholstered furniture
  • clean kitchen areas including refrigerator, stoves, microwaves, washing dishes, wiping down cabinets and floors
  • clean common areas including public toilets, sweeping, mopping, buffing and vacuuming
  • empty large trash cans and take trash to dumpsters
  • perform quarterly deep cleans including shampooing carpets, changing encasements, baseboards and light fixtures
  • take inventory of furnishings and report maintenance discrepancies
  • inspect guest rooms before releasing
  • report missing or damaged property
  • provide world-class customer service with courtesy
  • report unauthorized visitors or suspicious incidents
  • move heavy furniture and supplies
  • make minor repairs on equipment
  • adhere to safety regulations
  • perform other related duties as assigned
