Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior housekeeping or custodial experience preferred
- Valid driver's license to operate company vehicles
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 45 lbs independently and over 45 lbs with assistance
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods
- Ability to use strong cleaning chemicals safely
- Willingness to work independently and accept responsibility
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Pass National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI)
- Compliance with Department of Navy policies including drug-free workplace standards
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques for various types of furniture and furnishings
- Ability to use common cleaning tools and industrial equipment such as vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, and buffers
- Ability to identify and report maintenance issues
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Knowledge of fire, safety, and security requirements
- Strong customer service skills
- Good physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks
- Ability to read signs and housekeeping assignments
- Willingness to undergo continuous training and development
Job Duties
- Perform housekeeping and custodial duties in assigned areas including hotel rooms, cottages, cabanas, and villas
- Make beds, change linens, vacuum, mop, dust, sweep, and empty trash cans
- Clean guest room bathrooms including toilets, showers, tubs, wash basins, mirrors, and walls
- Wax and polish hardwood furniture and shampoo upholstered furniture and carpets
- Clean kitchen areas including refrigerator, stoves, microwaves, dishwashing, range hood, cabinets, and floors
- Clean common areas including public toilets, sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming
- Take inventory of furnishings, report maintenance issues, and replace missing items
- Provide world-class customer service with courtesy and professionalism
- Use and maintain cleaning equipment and safety procedures
- Assist with moving heavy furniture and supplies
- Report unauthorized visitors or suspicious incidents to supervisor
