Job Requirements

  • Must be able to work independently
  • must have knowledge concerning all aspects of rooms assigned including inventory and restocking supplies and amenities
  • must be knowledgeable in proper cleaning techniques for different types of furniture and furnishings
  • must be able to use common cleaning tools, cleaning agents, vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, and buffers
  • ability to identify and report maintenance problems
  • ability to read signs and follow written and oral instructions
  • knowledge of fire, safety and security requirements
  • must be able to perform physical work including lifting up to 45 lbs independently and more with assistance

Job Duties

  • Work independently to clean and maintain assigned rooms
  • inventory and restock supplies and amenities in rooms
  • use appropriate cleaning tools, agents, and equipment including vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, and buffers
  • identify and report maintenance problems promptly
  • alert management about guest treatment issues
  • make decisions regarding property and supplies such as damaged furniture and linens
  • follow all fire, safety, and security protocols
  • participate in on-the-job training and continuous skill development
