Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 45 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance
- valid driver's license required
- ability to work independently and responsibly
- knowledge of cleaning tools, chemicals, and equipment
- ability to follow safety procedures and use safety equipment
- ability to read and follow instructions
- commitment to providing excellent customer service
- ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments
- willingness to undergo background checks and drug testing as required
- adherence to drug-free workplace policies
Job Qualifications
- must be able to work independently
- knowledge of inventory and restocking supplies and amenities
- adept in proper cleaning techniques for various furniture and furnishings
- ability to use common cleaning tools and industrial equipment such as vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, and buffers
- ability to identify and report maintenance problems
- strong customer service skills
- ability to read and follow written and oral instructions
- knowledge of fire, safety, and security requirements
- ability to handle physical labor including lifting heavy items
- initial and ongoing training provided
Job Duties
- perform housekeeping and custodial duties in assigned locations
- clean various types of accommodations including hotel rooms, cottages, cabanas, and villas
- make beds and change linens
- vacuum, mop, dust, sweep, and empty trash cans
- clean guest room bathrooms including toilets, showers, tubs, basins, mirrors, and walls
- wax and polish hardwood furniture
- shampoo upholstered furniture and carpets
- clean kitchen appliances and areas
- maintain cleanliness of common areas and public toilets
- take inventory of furnishings and report maintenance discrepancies
- inspect rooms before guest check-out
- provide excellent customer service and assist guests
- report unauthorized visitors or suspicious activities
- move heavy furniture and supplies
- perform minor repairs on equipment
- adhere to safety regulations and use safety equipment
- support EEO and prevention of sexual harassment principles
- perform other related duties as assigned
