Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 45 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance
  • valid driver's license required
  • ability to work independently and responsibly
  • knowledge of cleaning tools, chemicals, and equipment
  • ability to follow safety procedures and use safety equipment
  • ability to read and follow instructions
  • commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments
  • willingness to undergo background checks and drug testing as required
  • adherence to drug-free workplace policies

Job Qualifications

  • must be able to work independently
  • knowledge of inventory and restocking supplies and amenities
  • adept in proper cleaning techniques for various furniture and furnishings
  • ability to use common cleaning tools and industrial equipment such as vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, and buffers
  • ability to identify and report maintenance problems
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to read and follow written and oral instructions
  • knowledge of fire, safety, and security requirements
  • ability to handle physical labor including lifting heavy items
  • initial and ongoing training provided

Job Duties

  • perform housekeeping and custodial duties in assigned locations
  • clean various types of accommodations including hotel rooms, cottages, cabanas, and villas
  • make beds and change linens
  • vacuum, mop, dust, sweep, and empty trash cans
  • clean guest room bathrooms including toilets, showers, tubs, basins, mirrors, and walls
  • wax and polish hardwood furniture
  • shampoo upholstered furniture and carpets
  • clean kitchen appliances and areas
  • maintain cleanliness of common areas and public toilets
  • take inventory of furnishings and report maintenance discrepancies
  • inspect rooms before guest check-out
  • provide excellent customer service and assist guests
  • report unauthorized visitors or suspicious activities
  • move heavy furniture and supplies
  • perform minor repairs on equipment
  • adhere to safety regulations and use safety equipment
  • support EEO and prevention of sexual harassment principles
  • perform other related duties as assigned
