Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior housekeeping or custodial experience preferred
- ability to lift and move items weighing up to 45 lbs independently
- ability to work independently without close supervision
- valid drivers license to operate company vehicles
- reliable and punctual work ethic
- capability to stand, bend, stoop, and reach frequently
- willingness to follow safety guidelines and use required equipment
- ability to handle strong cleaning solutions safely
- ability to report and communicate maintenance and safety issues promptly
Job Qualifications
- must be able to work independently
- knowledge of inventory and restocking supplies
- adept in proper cleaning techniques for various furniture and furnishings
- skilled in use of cleaning tools, cleaning agents, industrial vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, and buffers
- ability to identify and report maintenance problems
- capable of making independent decisions regarding property and supplies
- ability to read and follow written and oral instructions
- knowledge of fire, safety, and security requirements
- ability to provide world class customer service
- effective communication skills
- awareness of safety protocols and procedures
Job Duties
- perform housekeeping and custodial duties in assigned locations including standard hotel rooms, cottages, cabanas, and villas
- make beds, change linens, vacuum, mop, dust, sweep, and empty trash cans
- clean guest room bathrooms including toilets, showers, tubs, wash basins, mirrors, and walls
- wax and polish hardwood furniture and shampoo upholstered furniture in rooms and common areas
- clean kitchen areas including refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, dishes, range hoods, cabinets, and floors
- maintain cleanliness of common areas including public toilets and floors
- empty large trash cans and transport trash to dumpsters
- conduct quarterly deep cleans including carpet shampooing and changing encasements
- take inventory of furnishings daily and replace missing items while reporting maintenance issues
- inspect guest rooms before checkout release
- report missing, damaged, or destroyed property
- turn in lost property to supervisor
- report unauthorized visitors or suspicious incidents
- move heavy furniture and supplies
- make minor repairs on industrial cleaning equipment
- provide excellent customer service
- follow safety regulations and use safety equipment
- adhere to EEO policies and prevent sexual harassment
- perform other related duties as assigned
