Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- physical ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, and lift objects frequently
- ability to operate heavy cleaning equipment safely
- knowledge of cleaning chemical safety
- ability to follow instructions and work independently
- good communication skills
- a current driver's license is recommended
- ability to work indoors under normal conditions
- willingness to handle strong cleaning solutions and associated odors
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of proper care and maintenance of carpets and furniture
- ability to operate heavy powered equipment
- understanding of cleaning and sanitizing solutions
- ability to remove stains from various surfaces
- capability to read and follow product labels and instructions
- good oral and written communication skills
- organized and able to multitask
- experience in a similar cleaning or maintenance role preferred
Job Duties
- Carry out proper care and maintenance of carpets and furniture
- operate and control heavy powered cleaning equipment
- use a variety of special cleaning and sanitizing solutions appropriately
- remove different types of stains from various surfaces
- read and understand labels and instructions on cleaning products
- anticipate and respond to the needs of guests and clients
- perform tasks independently while following MCCS policies and procedures
- handle physical tasks including standing, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting heavy objects up to 45lbs independently and heavier items with assistance
- move and place heavy linen
- climb ladders and operate industrial equipment safely
- maintain communication with supervisors and housekeepers for guidance
- manage cleaning carts effectively
