Job Requirements
- Education to high school level or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and follow policies and procedures
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 45 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance
- Willingness to work indoors under conditions involving exposure to strong odors and cleaning chemicals
- A current driver’s license is recommended
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of proper care and maintenance of carpets and furniture
- Ability to handle and control heavy powered equipment
- Knowledge of proper usage of various special cleaning and sanitizing solutions
- Ability to remove stains from a wide variety of surfaces
- Ability to read and understand directions on labels and printed instructions
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to anticipate needs of guests and clients
- Organized and able to multitask
Job Duties
- Operate vacuum cleaners and carpet cleaners safely and efficiently
- Handle and control heavy powered cleaning equipment
- Apply appropriate cleaning and sanitizing solutions to remove stains from various surfaces
- Follow directions on product labels and printed instructions accurately
- Anticipate and respond to the needs of guests and clients
- Maintain cleanliness and order of assigned areas
- Lift and move heavy furniture and linens as required
