Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous housekeeping experience preferred
- ability to lift up to 45 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance
- willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to stand, bend, stoop, and climb ladders regularly
- current driver’s license recommended
- must be able to pass background and security checks
- registration with Selective Service System required for eligible males
- ability to work in a drug-free environment
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of proper care and maintenance of carpets and furniture
- ability to handle and control heavy powered equipment
- knowledge of proper uses of cleaning and sanitizing solutions and stain removal methods
- ability to read and understand labels and instructions
- good oral and written communication skills
- organized and able to multi-task
- ability to anticipate guest needs
- ability to work independently following company policies
- physical ability to perform strenuous cleaning tasks and move heavy objects with assistance
- basic safety awareness and adherence to workplace standards
Job Duties
- Makes beds, changes sheets, towels, and other linens
- thoroughly cleans guest rooms to include dusting, waxing, and polishing furniture, sweeping floors, vacuuming, and shampooing rugs, emptying wastebaskets, and sanitizing lavatories
- uses ladders to wash walls and windows, dusts drapes, blinds, and window coverings
- turns mattresses, sanitizes fixtures and bedding with disinfectant, replenishes room supplies such as soap, cups, and coffee
- reports missing or broken articles to supervisor
- occasionally scrubs, strips, waxes, and polishes floors using heavy powered equipment
- moves heavy furniture with assistance
- provides meaningful connections through customer service with courtesy
- assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner
- takes action to solve problems quickly
- adheres to safety regulations and promptly reports hazards or workplace injuries
- supports principles of equal employment opportunity and prevention of sexual harassment
- performs other related duties as assigned
