Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • past cleaning experience preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • ability to respond to changing demands
  • physically able to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing duties
  • willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

Job Duties

  • Maintain friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers
  • maintain all assigned ancillary and department areas and corridors in a clean, neat and sanitary manner to protect safety and health of others and comply with departmental policies
  • inspect and use judgment in determining which cleaning techniques to follow according to orientation guidelines
  • demonstrate efficient and safe use of housekeeping equipment and solutions
  • disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies using germicides and sterilizing equipment
  • diligently employ universal precautions when disposing of trash and bio-hazardous materials
  • keep cart properly stocked with equipment and cleaning supplies, ensuring all chemicals are accurately labeled and all equipment is in good working condition
  • promote effective interpersonal and interdisciplinary relationships and maintain professional conduct at all times
  • assist in improving productivity and efficient operations of the department
  • demonstrate commitment to professional growth and competence by adherence to training commitments
