Job Requirements
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods (8+ hours)
- must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. independently
- frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and manual handling of materials required
- good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- ability to tolerate noise, heat, and dust in a manufacturing environment
- visual acuity to read measuring tools, drawings, and detect quality defects
- must pass initial and ongoing physical or occupational health screenings (e.g., lifting assessment, vision test, hearing test, etc.)
- must be able to wear required PPE, including steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- prior housekeeping, janitorial, or facilities cleaning experience preferred, especially in manufacturing environments
- basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
- ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- must be able to pass pre-employment screenings and background checks
- strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and teamwork
Job Duties
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in production areas, offices, hallways, and breakrooms
- dust and wipe down surfaces, workstations, furniture, and equipment as needed
- empty trash cans, replace liners, and dispose of waste according to company guidelines
- clean restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, floors, and supply restocking
- remove debris, scrap materials, and dust from production areas
- clean around machinery and equipment following safety guidelines
- maintain cleanliness of walkways, staging areas, and high-traffic zones
- clean windows, doors, walls, and high surfaces as assigned
- wash and sanitize breakrooms, kitchenettes, and shared appliances
- follow proper chemical usage, dilution, and SDS safety requirements
- follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE (gloves, glasses, safety shoes, etc.)
- report maintenance issues, unsafe conditions, or supply shortages to the Supervisor
- ensure cleaning supplies and tools are stored safely and organized
- support facility safety initiatives by keeping floors clear of hazards and ensuring areas remain clean
