Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods (8+ hours)
  • must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. independently
  • frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and manual handling of materials required
  • good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • ability to tolerate noise, heat, and dust in a manufacturing environment
  • visual acuity to read measuring tools, drawings, and detect quality defects
  • must pass initial and ongoing physical or occupational health screenings (e.g., lifting assessment, vision test, hearing test, etc.)
  • must be able to wear required PPE, including steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • prior housekeeping, janitorial, or facilities cleaning experience preferred, especially in manufacturing environments
  • basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
  • ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • must be able to pass pre-employment screenings and background checks
  • strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and teamwork

Job Duties

  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in production areas, offices, hallways, and breakrooms
  • dust and wipe down surfaces, workstations, furniture, and equipment as needed
  • empty trash cans, replace liners, and dispose of waste according to company guidelines
  • clean restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, floors, and supply restocking
  • remove debris, scrap materials, and dust from production areas
  • clean around machinery and equipment following safety guidelines
  • maintain cleanliness of walkways, staging areas, and high-traffic zones
  • clean windows, doors, walls, and high surfaces as assigned
  • wash and sanitize breakrooms, kitchenettes, and shared appliances
  • follow proper chemical usage, dilution, and SDS safety requirements
  • follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE (gloves, glasses, safety shoes, etc.)
  • report maintenance issues, unsafe conditions, or supply shortages to the Supervisor
  • ensure cleaning supplies and tools are stored safely and organized
  • support facility safety initiatives by keeping floors clear of hazards and ensuring areas remain clean
