Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in related area of assignment or one year of experience at the lower level Housekeeper 1 or equivalent
- Ability to undergo drug screening
- Ability to undergo TB evaluation
- Ability to receive annual influenza vaccination or have documented exemption
- Must pass national and state background checks as a condition of employment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of experience in housekeeping or custodial services or one year of experience at the lower level Housekeeper 1 or equivalent
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery and hand tools
- Knowledge of safety protocols in handling contaminated waste
- Basic skills in minor repair and maintenance of linens and equipment
- Ability to maintain cleanliness standards and organizational skills
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor
Job Duties
- Perform a variety of duties to maintain order, sanitation and cleanliness in facilities
- Maintain supplies as needed
- Clean and straighten assigned areas
- Collect, sort, launder, transport and distribute linens and uniforms
- Ensure laundry, housekeeping and floor equipment is in good working condition
- Maintain and stock equipment and supplies as needed
- Mend linens and assist in preventative maintenance and repair
- Observe required safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse
- Operate hand tools and power cleaning equipment
- Participate in making, marking, altering and mending clothing, linens and other items
- Press and store all linens
