Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Proficiency in English reading, writing, speaking and comprehension
- Ability to follow hospital protocols and cleaning procedures
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Capability to work in secured areas following department-specific access rules
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to safely lift bags of laundry, trash or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand fluent English
Job Duties
- Demonstrates ability to utilize SpaceCare QL cleaning process in all patient and ancillary areas of hospital
- Prepares patient rooms for occupancy
- Demonstrates understanding of Epic protocol
- Maintains neat appearance of floor surfaces, including mopping and vacuuming
- Performs job tasks and duties as outlined in job description while in secured areas
- Transports waste to designated trash chute or soiled utility location
- Moves furniture and sets up meeting rooms
- Reports repair needs of equipment, furniture, fixtures, and facility
- Maintains equipment for cleanliness
- Abides by all UnityPoint Health- Des Moines and departmental policies
