Job Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions such as heat and cold
- Monday through Friday availability with some weekends as needed
- Non-exempt employment status
- First shift work availability
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a medical setting preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform strenuous tasks
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Follow established cleaning procedures and schedules
- Maintain a clean and organized storage area for cleaning supplies and equipment
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Perform cleaning tasks including high dusting, sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, and floor care
