Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
  • Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions such as heat and cold
  • Monday through Friday availability with some weekends as needed
  • Non-exempt employment status
  • First shift work availability

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a medical setting preferred
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform strenuous tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Follow established cleaning procedures and schedules
  • Maintain a clean and organized storage area for cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Perform cleaning tasks including high dusting, sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, and floor care
