Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous housekeeping experience preferred
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- physical stamina to perform cleaning duties including standing, bending, and lifting
- ability to follow safety and security procedures
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
- commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- physically able to move objects such as housekeeping carts and vacuum cleaners
- capable of operating vacuum cleaners
- ability to stand and be mobile for most of an 8 hour shift
- effective verbal and written communication skills with employees and guests
- attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
Job Duties
- Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards including bathrooms, furniture, fixtures, floors and all components of the guest room
- change linens and re-stock supplies in each room
- complete all pre and post cleaning duties including preparing guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart set-up
- restock housekeeping cleaning cart for next day's use
- report all missing items from room including irons/boards, hair dryers, etc to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager
- report any maintenance repairs immediately to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager
- handle items for Lost and Found according to the standards
- maintain work area neat and organized
- clean all guestrooms in the prescribed manner while following safety and security procedures and regulations
- report all unsafe conditions immediately
- complete other duties as assigned by supervisor
