Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience
- Ability to utilize software programs in order to complete work functions
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and use protective equipment
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and handling cleaning supplies safely
- Reliable attendance during scheduled hours
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant environment
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 1 to 3 years of experience preferred
- Experience utilizing software programs such as Educare or TELS preferred
- Ability to utilize software programs in order to complete work functions
- Less than 1 year of experience acceptable
Job Duties
- Cleans resident and common areas of the community as assigned
- Performs thorough cleaning of all assigned areas including vacuuming carpets, sweeping and mopping hard floors, dusting and/or damp wiping surfaces, sanitizing bathrooms, cleaning glass windows and mirrors
- Prioritizes tasks and completes them within allotted time
- Assists in cleaning emergency spills as needed
- Assumes other responsibilities as assigned
- Follows cleaning schedule and instructions regarding individualized housekeeping needs of residents
- Performs job duties safely using correct body mechanics and personal protective equipment
- Safely mixes chemicals according to manufacturer instructions
- Consistently follows safe body mechanics
- Demonstrates precautionary work practices to ensure safety of others in work areas such as managing electric cords and using wet floor signs
- Completes all OSHA training modules in a timely manner
- Maintains cleaning equipment and supplies
- Maintains housekeeping cart and storage area daily
- Safeguards well-being by securely locking chemicals and hazardous materials when not in use
- Communicates supply restocking needs
- Reports need for equipment repairs
- Adheres to Lockout/Tagout policy
- Assists with light maintenance tasks as needed
- Participates actively in team meetings and communicates housekeeping-related feedback
