Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in housekeeping in a commercial, residential or hotel environment, at least one year preferred
  • Written and verbal skills needed to complete job responsibilities
  • Ability to work a varied schedule as necessary to include weekends and holidays
  • Must tolerate prolonged periods of standing, walking, kneeling, bending, stooping, and climbing stairs
  • Must tolerate exposure to cleaning solutions
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs
  • Must be able to visually inspect units and public areas to ensure adherence to standards

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in housekeeping in commercial, residential, or hotel environments preferred
  • Ability to complete written and verbal communications effectively
  • Knowledge of cleaning practices and safety protocols
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Capable of adhering to safety standards and following procedures
  • Good interpersonal skills for interacting with residents and coworkers

Job Duties

  • Clean and service rooms/units according to hotel standards including making beds, changing linens, and replacing towels
  • Dust and vacuum surfaces and sanitize all areas
  • Replenish amenities such as soap, shampoo, water, and coffee
  • Ensure restrooms are cleaned, sanitized, and stocked with supplies
  • Vacuum, mop, dust, and collect trash in public spaces, community rooms, and amenities
  • Check and report maintenance issues including lighting, plumbing, and HVAC problems
  • Follow procedures for handling lost and found items
  • Respect resident privacy and adhere to location protocols
  • Restock housekeeping storage areas and maintain cleanliness and safety protocols
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines and use PPE when handling chemicals
  • Comply with property security, fire regulations, and health and safety legislation
  • Provide courteous and professional service to residents and coworkers
  • Assist other employees as needed and complete duties assigned by management
  • Perform other duties as assigned
