Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach towards elderly and disabled individuals
- Ability to handle physical labor including standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Dependability and strong work ethic
Job Duties
- Clean resident and facility areas including scrubbing, mopping, buffing, polishing, dusting, and disinfecting bathrooms, bedrooms, hallways, and common spaces
- Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, and other necessary items regularly
- Foster a welcoming environment by engaging respectfully with residents, visitors, and staff daily
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of cleaning equipment and storage areas
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Assist with special cleaning projects as needed
