Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including bending lifting and carrying
- must be able to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols
- ability to work part-time hours including weekends and holidays
- excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with residents and staff
- ability to maintain confidentiality and respect resident privacy
Job Qualifications
- basic reading writing and mathematical skills
- ability to communicate effectively in English with employees and residents
- general knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
- strong organization and time management skills
- basic computer skills
- ability to retain orders up to four at one time
Job Duties
- provide general housekeeping for both the community as a whole and individual resident apartments including vacuuming dusting and cleaning main entryway common areas dining room hallways patios and resident apartments
- clean and defrost refrigerators as needed check heat system filters change bed linens and ensure adequate linen supplies in each apartment turn mattress with assistance and empty waste baskets
- provide deep cleaning of apartments paying special attention to carpets plants pictures railings windows and light fixtures
- launder all linens by washing and drying in the laundry facilities provided
- follow company sanitation and safety procedures
- greet residents and guests at each table with a smile to serve beverages cereals and or soups salads from the cart
- courteously review the menu take resident orders and serve meals and desserts
- return cart to kitchen assist with storage of perishable items deliver trays to resident rooms if needed
- bus and clear dishes from tables after meals reset tables following proper sanitizing procedures vacuum carpets and complete side work such as filling sugar holders replenishing creamers and cleaning coffeemaker
- perform other duties as needed and or assigned
