Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to provide housekeeping and laundry services that meet or exceed Sunrise’s quality standards
- Desire to work with seniors
- Ability to follow directions and work independently
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work with interruptions
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Willingness to participate in team meetings and training
- Compliance with safety and infection control procedures
- Pass drug test, tuberculosis test, physical evaluation, and background check
- Covid-19 and influenza vaccination if mandated by law

Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas as assigned while meeting or exceeding Sunrise’s quality standards
- Perform cleaning duties according to schedule in assigned areas such as resident suites, bathrooms, common areas and offices including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing, and polishing surfaces
- Knock on resident’s and public restroom doors before entering to respect privacy
- Maintain equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly condition
- Transport supplies including clean and soiled linen to appropriate areas
- Collect trash and maintain trash receptacles and collection areas in a clean and sanitary manner
- Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry by sorting, washing, drying, folding, counting linens
- Inspect linens routinely for wear and tear and follow procedures for damaged linens
- Maintain commercial laundry area in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition
- Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested
- Respond to resident requests and direct feedback to supervisors
- Review and document resident’s physical and behavioral changes in Daily Log
- Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored and locked when not in use
- Keep cords, carts, and equipment out of the way and comply with fire codes
- Promote risk management programs and comply with safety rules and regulations
- Practice safety procedures including use of PPE, fire extinguishers, SDS, and Lockout Tagout
- Participate as a team member supporting team goals and engagement programs
- Attend regular meetings and complete required training
- Perform other duties as assigned
