Job Requirements
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- able to work shifts on weekends and holidays
- able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- able to lift, reach, bend, and stoop
- able to safely lift and carry up two flights of stairs full laundry baskets and boxes of supplies, weighing up to 20 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Hotel experience preferred
- ability to stand for long periods
- ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- strong attention to detail
- good communication skills
- familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemicals
- ability to follow safety protocols
Job Duties
- Wash, dry, and fold all hotel linens
- make beds
- replenish guest room supplies, to include clean towels and washcloths
- clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, common areas, restrooms, elevator, stairways, and exterior bathrooms
- clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaner
- dust furniture and fixtures
- disinfect and deodorize in-room refrigerator and microwave
- return dirty room service dishes and trays to restaurant
- wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork as needed
- wash windows, door panels, and sills
- empty wastebaskets
- transport trash and waste to trash area behind restaurant
- replenish bathroom supplies
- deliver special order items to guest rooms, such as food, wine, or flowers
- replace light bulbs as needed
- report any damages or maintenance issues to front desk immediately
- report guests’ items left behind and turn in to front desk immediately
- abide by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals
- report to work for scheduled shift on time and in uniform, in accordance with company policy
- know and comply with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties
- take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
- perform other related duties as required or requested by the GM or front desk
