Job Requirements

  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • able to work shifts on weekends and holidays
  • able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • able to lift, reach, bend, and stoop
  • able to safely lift and carry up two flights of stairs full laundry baskets and boxes of supplies, weighing up to 20 pounds

  • Hotel experience preferred
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to lift up to 20 pounds
  • strong attention to detail
  • good communication skills
  • familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemicals
  • ability to follow safety protocols

Job Duties

  • Wash, dry, and fold all hotel linens
  • make beds
  • replenish guest room supplies, to include clean towels and washcloths
  • clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, common areas, restrooms, elevator, stairways, and exterior bathrooms
  • clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaner
  • dust furniture and fixtures
  • disinfect and deodorize in-room refrigerator and microwave
  • return dirty room service dishes and trays to restaurant
  • wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork as needed
  • wash windows, door panels, and sills
  • empty wastebaskets
  • transport trash and waste to trash area behind restaurant
  • replenish bathroom supplies
  • deliver special order items to guest rooms, such as food, wine, or flowers
  • replace light bulbs as needed
  • report any damages or maintenance issues to front desk immediately
  • report guests’ items left behind and turn in to front desk immediately
  • abide by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals
  • report to work for scheduled shift on time and in uniform, in accordance with company policy
  • know and comply with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties
  • take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
  • perform other related duties as required or requested by the GM or front desk
