Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality preferred
- Must be physically able to meet job demands including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurance if applicable
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely
- Attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction
Job Qualifications
- Must be physically fit and able to bend, stoop, and lift
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Knowledge of industrial laundry equipment, cleaning equipment, and cleaning chemicals
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Awareness of guest service standards
- Ability to work within a team
- Basic understanding of hotel operations
- Ability to follow directions and hotel policies
- Reliable and punctual
- Flexible with work schedule
Job Duties
- Pick-up room reports and keys to assigned areas daily
- Proceed to the laundry area to pick-up assigned cart and supplies
- Avoid making excessive noise in guest room areas
- Prioritize cleaning of check-out rooms
- Report rooms listed as do not disturb to superior
- Change sheets in every room daily unless specified otherwise
- Continue cleaning rooms while observing Do Not Disturb signs
- Clean rooms according to established procedures and return cart at end of shift
- Carry out all reasonable requests by management
- Be flexible regarding work schedule
- Report to work on time and in proper uniform including name tag
- Stay knowledgeable about daily hotel operations and updates
- Understand guest service scores and respond to guest needs
- Follow hotel policies, procedures, and standards
- Be aware of emergency procedures and act accordingly
- Report unusual occurrences or requests to manager
- Assist fellow associates to improve daily operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance if applicable
