Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or similar role
  • Ability to handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitary procedures
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with discretion
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet productivity targets
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards including OSHA guidelines
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Maintain a positive and upbeat personality with strong customer service skills
  • Maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor while wearing brand-approved uniform
  • Maintain confidentiality and build guest trust in housekeeping staff
  • Clean and stock all assigned guest rooms including linens, supplies, and bathrooms
  • Communicate room status promptly to Head Housekeeper
  • Greet guests upon encounter in the property
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitary guidelines including OSHA regulations
  • Keep workspace, storage rooms, and housekeeping carts organized and stocked
  • Observe and report condition of furniture, walls, carpets, and appliances
  • Assist and participate in staff meetings and training sessions
  • Adhere to key control guidelines
  • Assist in quarterly and annual cleaning duties
  • Process lost and found items according to company procedure
  • Support a positive and enjoyable work environment
  • Understand hotel products and services including food and beverage and recreation
  • Perform other duties as assigned
