Job Requirements
- high school diploma or ged preferred
- ability to provide housekeeping and laundry services that meet or exceed sunrise quality standards
- desire to work with seniors
- must be able to follow safety procedures including proper use of personal protective equipment
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- pass pre-employment drug test and background checks
- comply with covid-19 and influenza vaccination requirements if applicable
- physical ability to perform housekeeping duties
- willingness to participate in training and development activities
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or ged preferred
- prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- ability to work in a resident-centered environment
- desire to work with seniors
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
- basic knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures
Job Duties
- perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites public areas and support areas while meeting or exceeding sunrise quality standards
- perform cleaning duties including sweeping dusting mopping vacuuming and polishing surfaces
- respect resident privacy by knocking before entering rooms
- maintain equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly condition
- transport clean and soiled linens to appropriate storage areas
- collect trash and maintain trash receptacles in a sanitary manner
- collect clean laundry sort wash dry and fold linens according to approved procedures
- inspect linens for wear and manage damaged linens following community procedures
- maintain laundry area clean and orderly
- assist care managers with resident care as requested
- respond to resident requests and provide positive resident relations
- ensure safe storage and use of cleaning chemicals
- comply with safety and infection control protocols
- participate in team meetings training and contribute to team success
- perform other duties as assigned
