- must have dexterity to operate equipment and move furniture
- must be able to work with arms raised above head
- must be able to maneuver loaded maid cart up to 50 lbs
- must be able to complete 2.5 rooms per hour
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- experience in housekeeping or janitorial work preferred
- basic knowledge of cleaning principles and use of cleaning products
- ability to communicate effectively
- excellent organizational skills
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- friendly and personable attitude
Job Duties
- Retrieve items from shelves and storerooms, set up cleaning cart with supplies, maintain carts and storerooms clean and orderly
- Clean and wipe windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures in rooms and public areas
- Wash shower walls and tub, clean toilets and stall walls, clean mirrors and sinks
- Replace towels, soaps and room amenities, restock literature
- Wash hard floor areas by hand to remove dirt
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures and wall hangings
- Strip bed linens and remake beds with fresh linens
- Check closets for cleanliness and restock guest room supplies
- Vacuum rooms, public areas and hallways, move heavy furniture to clean underneath
- Inspect door and window locks and report unsafe conditions
- Inspect room equipment and report maintenance issues
- Secure and maintain custody of equipment, keys and supplies
- Maintain friendly and courteous demeanor
- Perform other duties as assigned
