Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job including standing, bending, and lifting
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Job Qualifications
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
- Effective communication in English with employees and residents
- General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
- Ability to retain orders up to four at one time
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Basic computer skills
Job Duties
- Provide general housekeeping for community and resident apartments including vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning common areas and entryways
- Clean and maintain resident apartments including defrosting refrigerators, checking heat system filters, changing bed linens, and ensuring adequate linen supplies
- Perform deep cleaning of apartments focusing on carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures
- Launder all linens by washing and drying
- Follow company sanitation and safety procedures
- Greet residents and guests, take meal orders, and serve meals and desserts
- Bus and clear dishes from tables, reset tables following sanitizing procedures, vacuum carpets, and complete side work such as filling sugar holders and cleaning coffeemaker
- Assist with kitchen duties including returning cart to kitchen and storing perishable items
- May perform other duties as needed or assigned
