Job Description

This job opportunity is with a reputable resort, known for providing exceptional hospitality and memorable guest experiences. The resort is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and customer service, positioning itself as a premier destination for travelers seeking relaxation and quality service. The company emphasizes a team-oriented environment where each member plays a critical role in upholding the resort's image and satisfying guest needs. As a Housekeeper at this resort, the role is classified as non-exempt, meaning it likely follows hourly wage regulations with applicable overtime pay. Shift schedules include regular hours and weekends, with potential additional hours to cover guest check-ins and checkouts, which is common in the hospitality industry. Those selected can expect to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment that values accuracy, professionalism, and enthusiasm.

The Housekeeper position is vital to the daily operation of the resort, promoting a clean and welcoming atmosphere that enhances guest satisfaction. This role involves preparing guest rooms by ensuring they are spotless and well-stocked with amenities. The housekeeper performs detailed cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing bathrooms to eliminate dirt, soap build-up, and hair, ensuring every room meets the company’s quality standards. Additionally, the position requires replenishing guestroom supplies like toiletries and linens, maintaining closet organization, and making beds with clean linens. The housekeeper will also be responsible for routine maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and changing light bulbs. Guest interaction is a key element, where the housekeeper anticipates needs, responds promptly, and courteously manages guest requests and complaints while maintaining positive relations. Familiarity with the resort services, features, and local attractions is necessary to provide accurate information to guests. Housekeepers also participate in rotation cleaning duties like steam cleaning carpets and deep cleaning during spring or super cleaning schedules. They must maintain accurate records of rooms cleaned and ensure their cleaning carts are restocked at shift end. Adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations is mandatory. The role demands a high level of energy, attention to detail, and an eagerness to improve work quality continuously. Flexibility in schedule is required, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position is suitable for individuals passionate about hospitality and cleanliness, eager to contribute to a high-performing team in a lively resort setting.
