Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- One year of housekeeping experience
- Valid state-issued driver’s license preferred
- Ability to walk, twist, bend, push, and kneel for most of the day
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, chemicals, and equipment
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment
- Respirator fit testing may be required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- One year of housekeeping experience
- Knowledge of various cleaning methods, materials, chemicals, and equipment
- Knowledge of floor and carpet care including refinishing, scrubbing, hi-speed burnishing, polishing, shampooing, and extraction
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment such as BobCat, Forklift, Snow Blowers, and Plows
- Ability to drive university vehicles
Job Duties
- Clean restrooms by disinfecting basins, urinals, and toilet bowls and sweeping and mopping floors
- Replenish dispensers and report damages to supervisors
- Remove trash and recycle as required
- Perform vacuuming, mopping, waxing, buffing, and dusting of offices, corridors, and staircases
- Remove snow using shovels and power equipment
- Set up tables and chairs for events and functions
- Move furniture as needed
- Operate motor vehicles to transport garbage
- Perform other related duties as assigned
