Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience in housekeeping or laundry services preferred
  • Desire to work with seniors
  • Ability to follow safety and infection control procedures
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and interruptions
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to participate in all required training and compliance activities
  • Ability to pass a drug test, tuberculosis test, physical evaluation, and background check
  • Compliance with vaccination requirements if mandated
  • Ability to maintain equipment and supplies properly

Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to provide housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment meeting quality standards
  • Desire to work with seniors
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work semi-independently while following community procedures
  • Demonstrated good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills

Job Duties

  • Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas while meeting or exceeding quality standards
  • Perform scheduled cleaning duties including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing, and polishing various surfaces
  • Knock on residents' and public restroom doors before entering to respect privacy
  • Maintain housekeeping equipment and supplies in clean and orderly condition
  • Transport clean and soiled linens to appropriate storage and collection areas
  • Collect trash and maintain trash receptacles in a clean and sanitary manner
  • Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry following approved procedures
  • Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested
  • Practice positive resident relations and respond to resident requests
  • Ensure safety protocols for chemicals, hazards, and infection control are followed at all times
  • Participate in team meetings and maintain compliance with required training
  • Perform other duties as assigned
