Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • experience in housekeeping and laundry services
  • ability to work with seniors
  • ability to follow safety and infection control procedures
  • ability to maintain privacy and respect resident dignity
  • ability to work as part of a team
  • ability to adhere to training and compliance requirements
  • willingness to complete pre-employment drug test tuberculosis test physical exam and background check
  • covid-19 and influenza vaccination if mandated by law

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • experience providing housekeeping and laundry services in a resident centered environment preferred
  • desire to work with seniors
  • good judgment problem solving and decision-making skills
  • effective written and verbal communication skills
  • competence in organizational and time management
  • ability to work semi-independently and follow procedures
  • ability to handle multiple priorities and frequent interruptions

Job Duties

  • perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites public areas and support areas while meeting or exceeding quality standards
  • clean according to schedule in assigned areas including floors fixtures furniture and windowsills
  • maintain privacy by knocking before entering resident or public restroom areas
  • maintain equipment and supplies clean and orderly
  • transport clean and soiled linens to appropriate areas
  • collect trash and maintain trash receptacles sanitary
  • sort wash dry fold and redistribute linens following approved procedures
  • inspect linens for damage and follow standard operating procedures for replacement
  • maintain commercial laundry cleanliness and order
  • assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care as needed
  • practice positive resident relations and respond to feedback
  • document resident changes in Daily Log
  • ensure safe storage of cleaning chemicals and hazard-free work areas
  • comply with safety and infection control protocols including PPE and SDS
  • participate in team engagement programs and training
  • attend regular meetings and maintain compliance with required training
  • perform other duties as assigned
