Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in housekeeping and laundry services in a senior living or similar environment
- Ability to follow safety and infection control procedures
- Physical ability to perform cleaning and laundry tasks
- Ability to work respectfully around seniors and maintain privacy
- Willingness to participate in required health screenings and background checks
- Compliance with community policies and regulations
- Ability to participate in team meetings and complete required training
- If applicable, understanding and adherence to driver job description for safety when driving Sunrise vehicles

Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas as assigned while meeting or exceeding quality standards
- Perform cleaning duties according to schedule in assigned areas such as resident suites, bathrooms, common areas, and offices including sweeping, dusting, dust mopping, wet mopping, spot cleaning, and vacuuming floors and carpets
- Clean, sanitize, and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures
- Dust, wash, sponge mop, sanitize, and hand shampoo furniture
- Knock on resident and public restroom doors before entering and respect privacy
- Maintain equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly condition
- Transport supplies including clean and soiled linen to designated areas
- Collect trash and maintain trash receptacles and collection areas in a clean and sanitary manner
- Collect, clean, sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and stack linens following approved laundry procedures
- Inspect linens routinely for wear and tear and follow procedure for damaged linens
- Maintain the commercial laundry area in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition
- Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested
- Practice positive resident relations and respond to resident requests appropriately
- Review and document daily logs regarding resident physical and behavioral changes
- Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored and locked when not in use
- Keep hazards such as cords and equipment out of the way and comply with fire codes
- Partner with the team to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
- Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety procedures
- Maintain equipment and supplies to prevent waste, damage, and accidents
- Comply with infection control techniques and policies
- Participate in team meetings and training
- Demonstrate commitment to team goals and Principles of Service
- Perform other duties as assigned
