Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas while meeting quality standards
- Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, dusting, mopping floors, spot cleaning and vacuuming carpets
- Clean, sanitize, and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures
- Dust, wash, sponge mop, sanitize and hand shampoo furniture and clean glass surfaces, woodwork, walls, and windowsills
- Knock on residents' doors before entering and respect their privacy
- Maintain equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly condition
- Transport supplies including clean and soiled linens
- Collect trash and maintain trash receptacles
- Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and stack linens following approved procedures
- Inspect linens for wear and damage and follow procedures for damaged linens
- Maintain commercial laundry cleanliness
- Assist care managers and department coordinators with resident care when requested
- Respond to resident requests and feedback
- Read and notate daily logs for resident changes
- Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored and locked
- Keep cords, carts, and equipment out of way to prevent hazards
- Follow safety procedures including use of PPE, fire extinguishers, and lockout tagout
- Comply with infection control practices
- Participate in team meetings and training
- Maintain compliance with required training and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
