Job Requirements

- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum three years housekeeping experience in a similar environment or hotel industry preferred
- Strong communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized

Job Duties
- Understand and perform cleaning procedures according to departmental policies and procedures using proper cleaning techniques
- Clean all assigned floor surfaces using wet, dry or appliance methods within specified time
- Clean, dust, polish and wash all visible furniture, light fixtures, surfaces including handrails, ledges, doors, door frames, moldings, baseboards, window frames and sills, picture frames and other exposed surfaces
- Wash and disinfect bathroom and kitchen fixtures, surfaces and appliances
- Remove all refuse in assigned areas according to department standards
- Spot clean fingerprints, smudges, spots and soil on walls, mirrors, resilient or carpeted floors and other visible surfaces daily
- Move furniture to ensure cleanliness behind and under furniture and appliances
- Defrost refrigerators and check and maintain dated food items
- Assist with resident seasonal clothing storage
- Wash and hang window blinds and clean curtains per schedule
- Perform window washing twice a year or as needed
