Job Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of housekeeping experience preferably in a hospital or inpatient facility

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of housekeeping experience preferably in a hospital or inpatient facility

Job Duties

  • Perform routine cleaning of patient rooms, patient care units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways in a clean, neat and sanitary manner
  • Wash windows, walls, floors, beds, furniture upon patient discharge
  • Apply clean linen on disinfected patient bed
  • Report any furniture, fixtures, building, equipment repairs required to Housekeeping Supervisor
  • Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure
  • Use and maintain equipment properly
  • Report safety hazards as appropriate
  • Transport trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area
