Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience in housekeeping and laundry services
  • Ability to work in a resident-centered environment
  • Desire to work with seniors
  • Pass required health screenings including drug and TB tests
  • Compliance with safety protocols and infection control
  • Ability to engage positively with residents and team members
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and team activities

Job Duties

  • Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas while meeting or exceeding quality standards
  • Sweep, dust, mop, vacuum floors, rugs, and carpets
  • Clean, sanitize, and polish bathroom fixtures
  • Dust, wash, sponge mop, sanitize, and shampoo furniture and surfaces
  • Knock on residents' and public restroom doors before entering to respect privacy
  • Maintain equipment and supplies in clean and orderly condition
  • Collect and remove trash
  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and stack linens according to procedures
  • Inspect linens for wear and tear and handle damaged linens per protocol
  • Maintain cleanliness of the commercial laundry area
  • Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested
  • Respond to resident requests positively and document relevant observations
  • Follow safety protocols including proper storage of chemicals, fire code compliance, and PPE usage
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and engagement programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
