Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- ability to perform physical tasks related to housekeeping and laundry
- willingness to work in a senior living environment
- ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members
- comply with health and safety regulations
- pass background check, drug test, and physical evaluation
- Covid-19 and influenza vaccinations as required by law
- ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- maintain confidentiality and respect resident privacy
- willingness to participate in required training and development

Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas while meeting or exceeding Sunrise quality standards
- perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, spot cleaning, and vacuuming floors, rugs, carpets, and runners
- clean, sanitize, and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures
- dust, wash, sponge mop, sanitize and shampoo furniture, dust desk and floor lamps, and clean and polish glass surfaces, woodwork, walls, and windowsills
- knock on resident and public restroom doors before entering and respect privacy
- maintain equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly condition
- transport supplies including clean and soiled linen to appropriate areas
- collect and remove trash and maintain receptacles and collection areas in a clean and sanitary manner
- collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry
- sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and stack linens following approved procedures
- inspect linens for wear and handle damaged linens per Standard Operating Procedures
- maintain commercial laundry cleanliness
- assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care as requested
- practice positive resident relations and direct feedback to supervisors
- review and document resident physical and behavioral changes in Daily Log
- ensure cleaning chemicals are stored and locked when not in use
- maintain compliance with health and safety regulations including fire codes and infection control protocols
- participate in team meetings and engagement activities
- maintain compliance with required training
- perform other duties as assigned
