Job Duties
- Sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens
- makes beds
- replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses and writing supplies
- cleans corridors and stairways
- sweeps and scrubs bathroom floors
- cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- dusts furniture
- washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork
- washes windows, door panels, and sills
- empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays
- transports trash and waste to disposal area
- replenishes bathroom supplies
- replaces light bulbs
- scrubs bathroom vanity, toilet, mirrors, walls and bathroom fan
- completes a quality check on the television, telephone, AC and smoke detectors
- removes items left behind from room and delivers to lost and found with proper documentation
- reports maintenance problems to the maintenance department
- uses cleaning supplies efficiently
- wears proper uniform including nametag
- scores 90% or higher on room inspections
- greets guests pleasantly and by name
- knows in-house products and local area information
- organizes and stocks housekeeping cart timely
- keeps commercial areas clean and neat
- responds timely to guest needs for supplies
- checks vacancy status daily
- maintains clean and organized storerooms
- displays team attitude and assists co-workers
