Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- ability to perform physical housekeeping tasks
- desire to work with seniors
- compliance with Sunrise policies and procedures
- ability to communicate effectively
- willingness to follow safety protocols and infection control measures
- must pass pre-employment screening including drug test and background check as required
- ability to work flexible hours as needed

Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas
- perform cleaning duties according to schedule including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing, and polishing surfaces
- knock on resident doors before entering and respect their privacy
- maintain equipment and supplies in clean and orderly condition
- transport clean and soiled linen to appropriate areas
- collect and dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
- collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry
- sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and stack linens
- inspect linens for wear and tear and report damaged linens
- maintain commercial laundry cleanliness
- assist care managers and coordinators with resident care when requested
- practice positive resident relations and respond to resident requests
- document resident physical and behavioral changes
- ensure cleaning chemicals are stored and locked when not in use
- maintain clear and safe work areas in compliance with fire codes
- adhere to safety procedures including PPE and infection control
- participate in team meetings and training
- contribute to team engagement and work towards team goals
- perform other duties as assigned
