Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • experience providing housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment
  • ability to follow established cleaning and laundry protocols
  • strong interpersonal skills for resident interaction
  • commitment to safety and infection control practices
  • physical ability to perform cleaning tasks
  • comply with required health screenings including drug test, tuberculosis test, and physical evaluation
  • vaccination compliance as mandated by law
  • reliable attendance and punctuality.

Job Duties

  • Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas as assigned while meeting or exceeding quality standards
  • perform cleaning duties according to schedule in assigned areas including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces
  • respect residents' privacy by knocking before entering their suites and public restrooms
  • maintain equipment and supplies in an orderly condition
  • transport supplies including clean and soiled linen to storage and collection areas
  • collect and remove trash while maintaining trash receptacles clean and sanitary
  • collect, clean, sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and redistribute community laundry following approved procedures
  • inspect linens for wear and damage and handle according to procedural guidelines
  • maintain cleanliness and order in commercial laundry areas
  • assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care as requested
  • practice positive resident relations responding to requests and feedback appropriately
  • review and document resident information and physical or behavioral changes
  • ensure safe storage of cleaning chemicals and removal of hazards
  • comply with occupational health and safety regulations and safety procedures including use of PPE
  • maintain equipment and supplies to prevent accidents and waste
  • comply with infection control policies
  • participate in team engagement activities and meetings
  • commit to ongoing training and adherence to community procedures
  • perform other duties as assigned.
