Job Requirements

- Must be able to work full time 40 hours per week
- Ability to work rotating holidays and every other weekend
- Availability to work 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Must have high school diploma or GED for preferred qualification
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to housekeeping
- Must be able to interact professionally with patients and staff
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Less than two years of experience in housekeeping or similar role preferred
- Ability to follow established cleaning procedures
- Good communication skills for interacting with patients and staff
- Ability to work 40 hours weekly including rotating holidays and every other weekend
- Ability to maintain hospital equipment cleanliness and functionality
Job Duties
- Perform routine janitorial and cleaning activities in patient, public and common areas using prescribed cleaning processes
- Perform discharge cleaning process in inpatient rooms and prepare room for the next admission
- Perform room set up and changes including changing linens, cleaning, mopping and furnishing
- Keep equipment clean and functional according to procedure
- Notify supervisor or manager of any equipment, furniture, or building fixtures needing maintenance
- Ensure hospital areas are appropriately cleaned to support patient safety and comfort
- Provide a reassuring presence to patients during cleaning activities
