Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in housekeeping and laundry services
- Ability to work respectfully with senior residents
- Willingness to comply with Sunrise safety and operational standards
- Ability to participate in training and team meetings
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Must pass drug test, tuberculosis test, physical evaluation, and background check
- Covid-19 and Influenza vaccination if required by law
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience providing housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment
- Desire to work with seniors
- Ability to follow community procedures and quality standards
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work semi-independently and handle multiple priorities
- Commitment to team goals and positive resident relations
Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas while meeting or exceeding quality standards
- Sweep, dust, mop, and clean floors, rugs, and carpets
- Sanitize and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures
- Dust, wash, sponge mop, and clean furniture and glass surfaces
- Respect residents' privacy by knocking before entering rooms
- Maintain housekeeping equipment and supplies in clean, orderly condition
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and redistribute linens following approved procedures
- Inspect linens for wear and damage and follow procedures for damaged items
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the commercial laundry area
- Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care as requested
- Respond to resident requests and report feedback to supervisors
- Review and document resident information and changes in the Daily Log
- Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored securely and equipment does not block exits
- Adhere to safety protocols including use of PPE, fire safety, and infection control
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions
- Contribute to team engagement and improvement initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
