Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • desire to work with seniors
  • ability to provide housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment
  • ability to follow safety procedures and infection control techniques
  • physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting bending and standing for extended periods
  • pass mandatory drug test and background check
  • comply with vaccination requirements if applicable
  • willingness to work flexible hours and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • ability to handle multiple priorities and frequent interruptions

Job Duties

  • perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites public areas and support areas as assigned
  • perform cleaning duties according to schedule including sweeping dusting mopping vacuuming and cleaning bathrooms common areas and offices
  • knock on resident and public restroom doors before entering to respect privacy
  • maintain equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly condition
  • transport supplies including clean and soiled linen to appropriate areas
  • collect trash and maintain trash receptacles and collection areas in clean condition
  • collect clean laundry sort wash dry fold count and stack linens following approved procedures
  • inspect linens for wear and tear and follow procedures for damaged linens
  • maintain commercial laundry in a clean and sanitary condition
  • assist care managers and department coordinators with resident care when requested
  • practice positive resident relations and respond to or escalate resident requests
  • review and document resident information in daily logs
  • ensure cleaning chemicals are safely stored and locked
  • keep equipment and hazards out of the way and comply with fire codes
  • promote occupational health and safety compliance and risk management policies
  • practice safety procedures including use of PPE and adherence to infection control techniques
  • participate in team engagement activities and maintain compliance with required training
  • attend meetings and perform other duties as assigned
