Job Requirements
- housekeeping experience in health care or commercial setting preferred
- current and valid 2 step tb clearance and health review can be done in house
- ability to lift and move equipment and supplies
- reliable and punctual
- ability to work flexible hours as needed
- attention to detail
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous housekeeping experience in health care or commercial setting preferred
- knowledge of cleaning products and infection control standards
- ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including standing walking and lifting
- willingness to comply with health and safety regulations
Job Duties
- ensure a clean orderly and safe place for guests residents and staff throughout the facility
- follow infection control standards when collecting dirty linen and handling resident laundry
- clean and maintain all assigned areas of the nursing home facility
- report any maintenance or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel
- work collaboratively with other staff to promote a hygienic and welcoming environment
- adhere to organizational policies and procedures related to housekeeping and sanitation
- handle cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively
