Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to provide housekeeping and laundry services in resident-centered environment
  • Desire to work with seniors
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to organize and manage time
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and problem solve
  • Ability to work semi-independently
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and interruptions
  • Pass pre-employment drug test, tuberculosis test, physical evaluation, and background check
  • Comply with vaccination requirements if applicable
  • Review and sign Driver job description if driving a Sunrise vehicle

Job Duties

  • Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas as assigned
  • Perform cleaning duties according to schedule in assigned areas including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming floors, and cleaning surfaces
  • Knock on resident and public restroom doors before entering to respect privacy
  • Maintain equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly condition
  • Transport supplies including clean and soiled linens to appropriate storage areas
  • Collect trash and maintain trash receptacles and areas in a clean manner
  • Collect, clean, sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and stack linens according to approved laundry procedures
  • Inspect linens for wear and tear and handle damaged linens following procedures
  • Maintain commercial laundry area clean and sanitary
  • Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care as requested
  • Respond to resident requests and direct feedback to supervisors
  • Document and learn about resident changes by reviewing Daily Logs
  • Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored securely
  • Ensure no hazards block exits and comply with fire codes
  • Promote safety programs and adhere to safety regulations and infection control techniques
  • Participate in team meetings, engagement programs and maintain required training compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
