Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • ability to perform housekeeping and laundry duties
  • desire to work with seniors
  • ability to follow safety and infection control procedures
  • good organizational and time management skills
  • ability to work semi-independently
  • willingness to participate in required training and community meetings
  • ability to pass a drug test and meet health and safety requirements

Job Duties

  • perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas
  • perform cleaning duties according to schedule including sweeping, dusting, mopping floors, cleaning and sanitizing lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures
  • respect residents privacy by knocking before entering rooms
  • maintain equipment and housekeeping supplies
  • transport and manage clean and soiled linens
  • collect trash and ensure trash areas are clean and sanitary
  • collect, wash, dry, fold, count, and stack linens following approved procedures
  • inspect linens for wear and tear and follow procedures for damaged linens
  • maintain cleanliness and order in commercial laundry
  • assist care managers with resident care when requested
  • respond to resident requests and feedback
  • document resident physical and behavioral changes in daily log
  • ensure cleaning chemicals are stored safely
  • comply with safety and risk management policies including PPE and infection control
  • participate as a team member and engage in training and community meetings
  • perform other duties as assigned
