Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment
  • ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting, and pushing
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • good communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor
  • knowledge of safe cleaning practices and infection control measures

Job Duties

  • Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas
  • dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to ensure a clean environment
  • change bedding, make beds, and replace towels as needed
  • maintain cleanliness in staff areas and public spaces within the facility
  • handle cleaning supplies and equipment safely and according to facility guidelines
  • ensure proper waste disposal and recycling procedures are followed
  • report maintenance issues or concerns to the supervisor
  • assist with special cleaning projects as needed
  • adhere to all health and safety standards and infection control protocols
  • work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth daily operations and a high level of resident satisfaction
