Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- prior experience in housekeeping or laundry services preferred
- desire to work with seniors
- ability to follow safety and infection control policies
- ability to work semi-independently and handle multiple priorities
- ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- ability to maintain equipment and supplies
- willingness to participate in required training
- ability to respect resident privacy and adhere to community procedures
- successfully pass a drug test and other pre-employment health screenings as applicable

Job Duties
- perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas while meeting quality standards
- clean floors, rugs, carpets, and runners by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming
- clean, sanitize, and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures
- dust, wash, sponge mop, sanitize, shampoo furniture, and clean glass surfaces and woodwork
- knock on resident and public restroom doors before entering to respect privacy
- maintain equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly condition
- transport clean and soiled linens to appropriate storage and collection areas
- collect trash and maintain trash receptacles in a sanitary manner
- collect, clean, and redistribute laundry
- sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and stack linens following approved procedures
- inspect linens for damage and follow procedures for worn linens
- maintain commercial laundry in a clean and sanitary condition
- assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested
- practice positive resident relations and respond to resident requests
- document and learn about resident changes through Daily Log
- store and lock cleaning chemicals when not in use
- keep cords, carts, and equipment out of the way and comply with fire codes
- promote risk management programs and comply with safety rules and regulations
- practice safety procedures including PPE and fire extinguisher use
- maintain equipment and supplies to prevent waste and accidents
- comply with infection control techniques and procedures
- participate as a team member and commit to team goals
- demonstrate Team Member Credo and Principles of Service
- contribute to engagement programs
- attend regular meetings
- maintain compliance with required training
- perform other duties as assigned
