Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience with healthcare housekeeping or environmental services preferred
Job Duties
- sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops tile floors
- occasionally spray buffs, strips or waxes floors following center procedures
- vacuums carpeted rooms as applicable
- empties trash cans, cleans interior and exterior, replaces liners
- cleans bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets following center procedures
- cleans glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures, and windows
- cleans behind and underneath furnishings
- follows infection control standards while performing cleaning
- prevents and removes wax and dirt buildup in corners, around baseboards, and in doorways
- changes soiled privacy curtains and draperies for outside windows as needed
- removes and re-hangs curtains and draperies using a ladder
- dusts and damp cleans surfaces in patient and resident rooms including furniture, bed frames, and windowsills
- moves furniture to clean behind and underneath according to procedures
- turns bed mattresses after cleaning
