Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- must be able to communicate effectively in English
- ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond to emergencies
- previous experience in institutional cleaning preferred
- able to perform routine and repetitive duties
- neat and clean personal appearance at all times
- ability to stand, climb, stoop, walk, and lift for long periods
- ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment
- visual ability to detect cleanliness
- capable of working in special hospital areas
- willingness to work with or around hazardous, combustible chemicals and infectious diseases

Job Duties
- Perform routine cleaning duties including dry and wet mopping
- remove waste and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas
- operate mechanical cleaning equipment such as buffers and vacuum cleaners
- wash walls and windows as needed
- perform floor care procedures to ensure sanitary surfaces
- work in special areas including Surgery, Labor and Delivery, Nursery, Isolation Rooms, and Intensive Care Units following safety protocols
- adhere to safety guidelines when handling hazardous and combustible chemicals
