Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in housekeeping or hotel inspection preferred
  • ability to stand for 8 hours
  • ability to lift, grasp or carry 25 lbs
  • ability to bend with a full range of motion
  • ability to walk for 8 hours
  • repeated bending for 4 hours
  • ability to walk on uneven or slippery surfaces
  • ability to understand English if instructions are in English
  • willingness to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours
  • willingness to comply with hotel policies on attendance and attire
  • ability to operate cleaning equipment and use chemicals safely

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior housekeeping or hotel inspection experience preferred
  • ability to understand and follow instructions in English
  • proficiency in operating computers specifically Excel and Word
  • knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and chemical safety
  • strong attention to detail
  • good physical stamina for prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs

Job Duties

  • Inspect all areas of the hotel including guest rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met
  • make beds using hospital corners ensuring the end product is wrinkle free
  • clean bathrooms thoroughly using proper cleaners leaving chrome and tile spotless
  • dust all room surfaces including wall hangings, furniture, glass, molding, and lamps
  • ensure all guest supplies are restocked in guest rooms
  • vacuum rooms and hallways
  • comply with hotel policies and procedures regarding attendance and attire
